The U11 Lumby Stars hosted an exciting first home tournament of the season this past weekend at the Pat Duke Memorial Arena, welcoming teams from Grand Forks, Kelowna, Winfield, Vernon, Salmon Arm, and Armstrong/Enderby to the 2024 Monashee Classic U11 Tournament.
Lumby Stars – Team Church and Team Turnbull showcased impressive performances throughout the weekend with both teams making it to the semifinals. Lumby Stars – Team Church went undefeated into the final and claimed the gold medal with a narrow 5 – 4 victory over the Grand Forks Bruins.

Lumby Stars – Team Church came out with the win and continued into the finals, ultimately claiming the gold medal with a narrow 5 – 4 victory over the Grand Forks Bruins.
The Lumby Stars – Team Church players are proud of their achievement and are looking forward to competing for a medal at the upcoming Kamloops Tournament next weekend. The Lumby Stars – Team Turnbull gets the coming weekend away from the hockey arena.

The U11 Stars will be back in action at the Pat Duke Memorial Arena on Saturday, November 16, with Team Church facing Salmon Arm Simmons at 9:30 AM and Team Turnbull taking on Salmon Arm Stark at 3:30 PM. Go Stars Go!
