Moments in Time – Photos & Memories from the Lumby Museum – Alfie’s Food Centre

In 1984, Lumby boasted two grocery stores!  Sheardowns and Alfie’s Food Centre.   To mark the end of his first year in business, Alfie sponsored a free eight day trip to Reno, along with $200.00 in spending money contest.  The winners were Harry and Gwen Raymer from Cherryville.  Alfie would later develop River Ridge Golf Course in Cherryville.   Alfie passed away in 2015.
