Tested-Tried-True

With Christmas and New Years now over many people are thinking of their health, getting into shape or losing weight. It can be hard to navigate all the information out there, with everyone promoting the next big thing – products, gimmicks or fad diets. Even with new weight loss drugs like Ozempic or Wegovy, you still need to learn a healthy lifestyle as they don’t take care of everything. It’s no wonder people have a hard time even knowing where to start. Anyone can go to extremes and lose weight, but is it sustainable and what else is your body taking a hit on?

I’ve been in the business for almost 30 years, and I can assure you that it all comes down to a healthy, balanced diet and a proper exercise plan. Having said that, it’s not a cookie cutter one size fits all type deal. Some people may do better on different ratios of macronutrients as more protein, or fat or carbohydrates, but you never take a macronutrient out, as that is where problems creep in. I witnessed extreme weight gain from people after coming off many of these fad diets as well as chronic fatigue, food allergies and Type 2 diabetes.

With exercise it is the same, you don’t want to go out too hard too fast and then end up injured and defeated not to return. It depends on what is going on in your body, what level you are starting out at, injuries, and whether you are dealing with other possible chronic issues.  In the end, where I have had not only success, but lasting success with people, stems from a plan that works for each individual which all align with DEEM’s four pillars of Diet, Exercise, Education and Mindset. Over the years those that have changed their health and have continued on their path for the better, have adopted the DEEM approach. Some have even contributed part of their success to the extras provided from the consistency through accountability and support that we provide at DEEM.

The twists? Winners are determined by percentage of body fat lost, not the scale, and participants continue for an additional month to reinforce the tools learned and truly integrate them into a sustainable lifestyle.

This program has been tried and true over the years, with consistently strong results. Many past participants have not only kept the weight off but have also maintained long-term health improvements—keeping chronic conditions reversed or at bay.

Our next biggest loser starts January 17th, 2026. It is a very in-depth program to set you up for success.
