Please slow down! Whitevale Road Flooding again.

I just wanted to give you an update on the flooding on Whitevale Road.  The pictures were taken on March 31, 2020.

Two years ago, when flooding of Harris Creek occurred, I wrote letters to the officials and a ‘State of Emergency’ was declared.

Promises were made, things were going to happen, but as always, once the creek receded, promises were forgotten!

Well this year is much worse.  Part of our hay field is under water which was recently planted, our corrals where our cattle are is flooded and yard is flooded!

A little frustrating to say the least.

Cheryl Altwasser,

Whitevale Road, Lumby, BC
