The market this past Saturday was great. The weather held out for us, no rain, no cold, not even the wind which held out until the very end this time YAY!
We had a couple of new vendors, with some veggies and baking.
It was good to see so many smiling faces walking through the market.
We would like to see more vendors join our market, but they are afraid of the insurance costs. Having insurance is a safeguard for you, for instance if your tent blows away in the wind and hits a car or a person you would be covered, but if you don’t have insurance you could lose everything you have.
If you own a home, or a car, you have insurance. Even when I rented a place when I was younger before I was able to buy a place to live in, I had renter’s insurance, if something happened to the place I was living in, not only was my landlord covered for their losses, but I was covered for mine as well.
Did you know that as a vendor if you have insurance which by the way is mandatory at our market, it is income tax deductible, along with a portion of your hydro, phone, car and house insurance.
There are many advantages of having insurance as a vendor, and we would like to see you at our market as one.
