In 1912, the 2-room Lumby Primary School was built by Dave Wilson and Oliver Bonnerville. The land was donated by William Shields and would see many additions until 1973 when the school was condemned and later demolished. The last teachers to teach at the Primary School were Mrs. Marion Davies, Mrs. Anne Bartlett, Mrs. Tosh Tabata and Mrs. Norma Barnes. Today, the site is the grassy field in front of Charles Bloom Secondary School. Please call Linda at 778-473-5410 or email her at Lumbymuseum@gmail.com if you can identify this 1946 Lumby Primary School pupil.
