The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) – Mabel Lake Water Utility in cooperation with Interior Health, advises customers that the BOIL WATER NOTICE issued on June 23, 2020 for customers of the MABEL LAKE WATER UTILITY is hereby REDUCED to a WATER QUALITY ADVISORY. The water quality is now rated as “FAIR”.

The MABEL LAKE WATER UTILITY is located in the community of Kingfisher, approximately 35 kilometers east of Enderby.

Why are customers affected?
All customers on the MABEL LAKE WATER UTILITY are being informed that the turbidity (cloudiness) levels in Mabel Lake from spring runoff or “freshet” are greater than 1.0 NTU in the Mabel Lake water system. Who should be careful?
The following customers should be careful when ingesting the water:

  • children
  • the elderly
  • people with weakened immune systems

What should these customers do?
