How Do You Know When The Moon Has Had Enough To Eat? When It Is Full!
It has been so pleasant to have a more modest temperature and several days of rainfall over the last week and to see how this rain has enhanced the greenery of our landscape, refreshing our gardens and spirits.
It was announced that the new Farmers Almanac for the 2024-2025 became available recently so I had to look into what they predict for our area and Canada over all and although the temperatures over the balance of August and early September will be warm and dry conditions but this will only last so long before we head into a chilly and wet or snowy winter. If you are a skier this may be a most fortuitous year to purchase a lift ticket for all mountain hills right down to the coast.
The Farmers Almanac was first published in 1818 by a man by the name of David Young and was even at that time considered to be accurate to up to 80 percent. This year we will be influenced by a La Niña year which is a weather pattern where ocean temperatures are higher than normal and atmospheric temperature will be cooler than normal creating weather affects that will be felt around the world. This weather pattern is supposedly what we can expect for a period of 3 to 5 years now that we are moving out of the Le Nina years that we have been experiencing over the last several years. We are lucky that we will not receive the nasty cold temperatures that areas east of the rocky mountains are forecast to experience even though we are expected to have temperatures chillier than normal.
It’s amazing how the temperatures even in the next couple of weeks are considerably cooler both by day and by night not that I’m being an alarmist but keep an eye on the temperatures by mid September that may bring an early frost although the Almanac predicts overall a slightly warmer fall. True winter does not occur until December 21’st but winter weather is predicted to start well before this date. Our coldest and and snowiest weather is predicted to be in early January then again In mid February until the middle of March.
We just went through a Super Blue Moon and unfortunately due to overcast weather we were denied an Incredible view of the moon that although is 226,000 miles away would have seemed to be 30 percent brighter and 14 percent larger. Unfortunately the next time this event occurs will be in January of 2037. Full moons The Super Blue Moon is a combination of a Blue Moon which is the second Full Moon that occurs in the same month. A full moon happens every 29.5 days although there are 28 to 31 days in any given month a Super moon only occurs every 3 to 4 years so the combination is quite rare. The affects on humans, animals, tides and plants are considerable and the affects on each of these is predictable and good as a rule.
The setting of Tomatoes and other vegetable plants is very profound mostly due to the increase in the Earth Magnetism. This has been used in the planting of food crops that although were usually planted in North/ South rows to prevent erosion from westerly winds but was later found that this configuration caused was faulty and that planting these major crops in an East to West orientation showed that the plants grew quicker, stronger and with less weeds. It was also found that the pull of Full Moons and Super Blue Full Moons is very much influenced by the pull of these moons when the magnetic pull is at it’s strongest this is due to the fact it speeds up the formation of proteins in the cells of plants and this enhances plant metabolism and not only in plants but in human and animals as well. This also affects germination and is considered vital to the ability of being able to grow plants in space that have no gravitational pull at all.
Happy Gardening!
