What another busy month we’ve had. This month we went on a few field trips, had a couple crafts days, and tested our brains with some fun trivia.
We were fortunate to take a group of seniors out on the Heaven Can Wait boat on Okanagan Lake this month. The weather was perfect, and everyone had a wonderful time on the water. Later this month, we’re looking forward to another fun-filled outing—a trip to the Vernon Farmers’ Market.
Our creative side was also on display with two enjoyable craft activities. First, we made dream catchers, which took some time but turned out beautifully. Next, we tried our hand at painting mandalas on canvas, and the results were stunning.
Games were another highlight this month. We tested our knowledge with a lively summer trivia game, where everyone walked away learning something new. We also dusted off a classic—Scrabble! With teams and a dictionary at hand, we challenged our vocabularies and shared plenty of laughs. Of course, no month would be complete without a few rounds of Bingo, an all-time favourite.
All in all, August was another wonderful month filled with activities, laughter, and lasting memories shared with our seniors.
